Pray for and Honor your Pastor

Beloved,

We MUST all pray for and give honor to our Pastors, for they are chosen, anointed and appointed by God to lead the flock and protect the flock from wolves in sheep's clothing. The pastor wears many hats, from husband, father, evangelist, leader, teacher, and He is gifted by the Holy Ghost. It is written in Ephesians 4.7: But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift. It is written in Ephesians 11-13: And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ. Today, more than ever, our Pastors need our prayers, our love, our gratitude, and they should be treated with dignity, honor, and respect. Pastors, their wives and their family members sacrifice much to serve the saints for the LORD Jesus Christ. Many pastors work very hard, long hours, going door to door to evangelize and share the gospel. He spends much time in prayer and must preach the full counsel of God's Word, sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the bad news about sin and judgment. Many who claim to be called by HIS Name only want their ears tickled and they only want to hear about God's promises of blessings, but they do not want to hear about God's curses upon those who refuse to repent and turn from their wicked ways. The Bible has much to say about apostasy in these last days, but I just want to focus on the importance of praying for and honoring your pastor, today more than ever, as the days are getting darker.

I urge everyone who reads this page to please pray for your Pastor and let him and his family know that you love them, are praying for them, and you are willing to be his armor bearer as needed. Pray and ask God how you can encourage your pastor and ask wisdom in how to show your appreciation. And, do NOT forget Pastor Appreciation Month! Pastors are on duty 24/7/365 for the LORD, and they must be available for prayer calls, hospital room visits, emergencies, family crisis situations, and a multitude of difficult, painful situations.

Even as I am writing this page, I just heard today about another GREAT Pastor whom I have had the honor and privilege of meeting personally, who was suddenly let go, after serving his church for almost twenty years, for no reason whatsoever, other than the fact that this pastor was preaching the FULL counsel of God's Word, instead of tickling ears. This pastor preached that God is real, that Jesus is coming, that the church must repent and pray, and that that God will judge adulterers, fornicators, liars, whoremongers, and murderers. Imagine that. This news broke my heart, especially because I know this man to be a mighty man of God with a powerful anointing, who is a great evangelist. I am praying for all those who are brokenhearted because of the decisions of a select few, who have their own agendas and selfish motives. I will never forget sitting in a church many years ago, on a Wednesday night, after suffering through a horrible few days on the job, and I got crushed. This Wonderful Pastor walked up to the pulpit and said he had something he wanted to read to the church. He proceeded to read a very short, to the point, resignation letter, and he turned around and walked out the back door. Most of the church just got up and walked out the front door like nothing happened, but as I sat there in total shock, I asked an older woman who lingered what just happened and why. She gave me some sorry reason why the church ran this great pastor off. And what was even more unbelievable, this mighty man of God had just ministered weeks earlier to hundreds of high school students, teachers and parents, leading many souls to the Lord Jesus Christ. I must admit, my initial reaction was that I was never going to darken the door of a church again. But praise God, He helped me to forgive and get over it. I pray to God that He will remove the scales from the eyes of the Body of Christ, before it is too late. Especially in these perilous times, when wicked men and deceivers are coming into the church from the pit of hell, teaching doctrines of demons, and every evil work. And even more horrible is the fact that many churches have become breeding grounds for the Jezebel spirit! I would to God that every soul who is called by His Name will obey 2 Chronicles 7.14 and humble themselves, pray, turn from their wicked ways, unite in prayer and fasting, call on God's Name, so that He may hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land!

To you Wonderful Pastors who have been mistreated, disrespected, and dishonored, please never forget that you are dearly loved and greatly appreciated, and we are praying without ceasing for you! For you Wonderful Pastors who have been fired by your own church because they only want their ears tickled, remember that God closes one door and opens another. For you Wonderful Pastors who have been betrayed, stabbed in the back, slandered and falsely accused; rejoice and be exceedingly glad because great is your reward. For you Wonderful Pastors who are feeling exhausted, unappreciated, and burned out, please take a break and be good to yourself and your loved ones. If you need a vacation, take one. If you need some time alone with God, take it. If you need more time with your family, take it. God will never leave you nor forsake you, even if your entire congregation forsakes you and turns on you. Remember that God will fight for you and He will deal with your enemies.

Praying without ceasing for all Pastors and your loved ones,

Deborah Taylor

BIBLE VERSES ABOUT PASTORS:

1 Timothy 5:17 - Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine.

Hebrews 13:17 - Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 - And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

1 Corinthians 9:11 - If we have sown unto you spiritual things, [is it] a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

1 Corinthians 9:14 - Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

Numbers 6:24-26 - The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

Philippians 1:3-5 - I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

Philippians 1:7-11 - Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

2 Kings 4:10 - Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.

2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 - Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise [man] glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty [man] glory in his might, let not the rich [man] glory in his riches:

2 Kings 4:8-10 - And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where [was] a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And [so] it was, [that] as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

1 Peter 2:25 - For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

I came across this sermon today, 032023, the same day that Christians everywhere are gathering to pray for our nation and for President Donald J. Trump, as he continues to be attacked, harassed, persecuted, falsely accused, slandered, and threatened by Ahab and Jezebel. I felt led to post this video to show you how desperately pastors need our prayers, especially in these last days. I live in another state and have never visited this church, though I have been a loyal listener to this mighty man of God for many years, and have the utmost respect for him. I am convinced that the spirits of Jezebel and Absalom have slithered into this church to cause division and harm, because this mighty man of God is anointed to the bone. I pray that the Body of Christ will wakeup, repent, obey 2 Chronicles 7.14, and cry out for discernment. As I have written and said many times: "Just like John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way of the LORD, Jezebel (Satan's Lying Whore) was sent to prepare the way for the antichrist." These evil spirits are infiltrating every church, pew, home, business, ministry, courthouse, school house, and governments. Please join me in fasting and prayer for all true shepherds, saints, missionaries, and the persecuted everywhere. PERSECUTION ISN'T COMING, IT'S BEEN HERE FOR A LONG TIME! THE CHURCH HAD BETTER WAKE UP!
